An Unscheduled Exclusive Meeting Between An Eminent Philanthropist, Chief (Engr.) Mutiu Adebowale And Some Prominent Students of African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta.

It was a day full of amazement and joy for the pioneer Gbadegeshin of Egba Kingdom, Chief Engr. Mutiu Owolabi Adebowale, CEO First August Construction Company who is also an old student of the prestigious school, African Church Grammar School Abeokuta when the Head Boy, Head Girl, Assistant Head Girl and a prominent student suddenly appeared before him and were able to give him the full description of his socio-cultural cum professional status in the country.

Captivated by and engrossed with the eloquent presentation and cultured mannerisms of the students, the iconic humble socialist, Engr. Mutiu Adebowale couldn’t wring out of the situation but burst out laughing, then delightfully requested for their mission.

The students, having thanked him and the entire student body for their efforts at making the distinguished and notable citadel of learning, African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta, ever glowing among equals, requested for a school bus. The students who claimed to be part of the school team that is always representing the school at competitions, bemoan the situation where the school authority has to hire a commercial bus or a car to convey them to event centres, when other schools are always coming with their branded school buses.

In response to the students’ appeal, the Gbadegeshin of Egbaland, Engr. Mutiu Adebowale enquired that if the old students’ body should consider their request and get a bus for the school, will the school be able to maintain it? “If we buy a bus for you now will you maintain it ?”
Swiftly, the students nodded with a smile and chorused YES SIR!!!!
